The Mannlicher Infanteriegewehr M.1895 or more commonly known as the Mannlicher M1895, or Gewehr M.95 is a bolt action, with its origins in Austria. It uses a straight-pull action mechanism, and is chambered for 8×50mmR Mannlicher. For the time it was in mainstream service (WWI) it had a remarkably high rate of fire (30-35 rounds a minute) and was reliable, but in the midst of combat, it requires decent care. It saw heavy use by the Austrians in World War One, and also saw use by Bulgaria, Ottoman Empire, Romania, Russia, Nazi Germany, and Yugoslavia during, and after WWI. The rifle has been made more well-known following the release of Battlefield 1.
